I am an English native speaker oenophile based in Budapest. I originally graduated with an honours degree in French/Italian in 1992.
Since then, I have worked at a software firm, have a vast experience of teaching Business English language and skills in Italy, Germany, Hungary, Poland and the Middle East over the last 17 years.
I am an experienced writer, translator and editor, working with various translation agencies, publishers, universities and winemakers. I specialise in wine, gastronomy and tourism.
I am the Managing Editor of WineSofa, a member and committee member of the prestigious Circle of Wine Writers, judge at the International Wine Challenge and judge at Vinitaly’s 5StarWines. I also judge on various juries in Hungary.
I have successfully passed the WSET diploma, Wein Akademiker and Vinitaly’s Italian Wine Expert.
I am constantly working on my knowledge of Central and Eastern European wine, in particular Hungarian, and Italian wine, as well as the rest of the world of wine, of course!
